Leaving Paw Prints on Our Hearts
Everyone’s favorite, fluffy, four-legged caregivers provide a special breed of care
Everyone knows a hug can bring comfort to a child. But did you know that hugs also may be good for our health? Studies show they help release feel-good endorphins and oxytocin to promote bonding. They can even reduce anxiety and lower heart rate too.
That’s why a warm and fuzzy hug from one of our four-legged caregivers will almost always help a child feel better! That’s the foundation of our facility dog program, Sit…Stay…PLAY. We believe in the health presence of a dog and the positive impact it can have on a patient’s wellness.
Our Sit…Stay…PLAY program is entirely funded by the contributions of our generous donors and community. We have a crew of six happy and helpful golden retrievers, golden doodles and Labrador retrievers.
