We often talk about the incredible work done under the blue peaks at any of our Cook Children’s locations, but we also spend a lot of time making sure our children our safe in their community.
Prevention plays a significant role in all we do at Cook Children’s.
For years now, we’ve been actively educating our families on water safety through our “Lifeguard Your Child” campaign. This summer, you may have seen one of our experts speaking about drowning prevention or possibly the dangers of leaving children unattended in hot cars.
We’re incredibly proud of the impact these efforts have made in preventing injuries and saving lives.
However, as hard as we try, we know that kids will get sick or injured. When that occurs, you can rest assured we’ll be there for them.
In this issue, we’re excited to introduce you to the recent opening of the John and Tracy Sellers Sports Complex at Cook Children’s Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Walsh Ranch, highlighted on page 26. When a young athlete gets hurt, the sports complex is equipped to help them return safely to the field or court.
With all that we do at Cook Children’s, whether it’s working to prevent injuries or treating them when they occur, we couldn’t do it without you. We deeply appreciate your ongoing support. Your generosity plays a vital role in creating magical moments for our young patients through the year.
Thank you for all you do, for the children we serve.
With gratitude,
